Chicago Symphony Orchestra violinist, Arnold Brostoff, retires after 47 years

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra announced on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 that two of its members will be retiring, one being Roosevelt Alumnus, Arnold Brostoff (BA, ’59), who is leaving CSO after 47 years. According to his CSO bio, Brostoff’s influence at Roosevelt University was Morris Gomberg. Alongside his renown career as a violinst, Brostoff also was an accomplished composer.
